Naval forces from as many as 60 countries are taking part in
the five-day multinational maritime exercise, which aims to strengthen global
collaboration in combating piracy and terrorism while improving security
coordination among the participating naval forces.
The 9th edition of the naval drill, organized by the
Pakistan Navy, focuses on safeguarding economic waters, sharing expertise,
enhancing combat readiness, and preparing participants for complex maneuvers
and counter-techniques.
The Royal Saudi Navy is participating in the exercise with two
war ships –HMS Jazan and HMS Hail- along with specialized forces from the
Marine Corps and the Royal Navy’s Special Security Units.
